Unexpected letter from GP repeat test

So today I visit the nurse for my test results for, Fbc esr crp uric acid bone profile rheumatoid factor and have made myself stop my imagination running riot, then the postman calls with a letter, " Your recent GFR tests needs repeated in 1 month"
GFR was not on the test list so I suppose they test for more then they say.
Just kind of caught me off guard, still saying calm and will chat to nurse later, a little worried.

Best joke I ever read, "With that information and a diagnosis of spondylosis, your doctor can develop a treatment plan" or back in reality totally ignore you. Is ok I have a sense of humour and a boxing glove, not defeated yet.

Hi Val,
Thank you.
I am trying to look on the bright side thinking that there is nothing in the letter saying that any of the results caused concern.
It is weird waiting for results because I think if they find something wrong now it is more likely to be something simple and easy to treat whereas if they find nothing wrong and I hurt so much then it gets more complicated.
Am going to get ready to go out now, so will check back later.Best joke I ever read, "With that information and a diagnosis of spondylosis, your doctor can develop a treatment plan" or back in reality totally ignore you. Is ok I have a sense of humour and a boxing glove, not defeated yet.0 -
GFR is, I think, a kidney function test. Given the amount of paindullers we swallow, I'd be quite happy to have mine tested as often as they want. I'd try not to worry, PowerOn. It's probably just a precaution. These things always seem worse when they come by letter rather than word of mouth. If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

Dont you just wish they would explain things before sending letters,I have my kidney test regular and have had a kidney scan, so dont go worrying if you are sent for a scan. its just a precaution if the reading are slightly raised after having a few blood test.Love
