Scary news

Some of you may remember my frantic posts some months ago when my wonderful mum aka carer aka best friend was very ill in hospital. They found something untoward, assured us it was nothing serious, ran some more tests and now we find out it is serious. I feel sick to my stomach, just numb. I was already feeling a bit low due to feeling so unwell myself back at uni and on placement, I don't know how to handle this news.

Starburst I really hope whatever they have found they can now treat your mother properly.
    Wishing you both good things.
Best joke I ever read, "With that information and a diagnosis of spondylosis, your doctor can develop a treatment plan‏" or back in reality totally ignore you. Is ok I have a sense of humour and a boxing glove, not defeated yet.

I really appreciate the support, thank you.

I couldn't concentrate today. They let me go home earlier and I was so pathetically grateful that I nearly cried! We're not going to hear any news till early to mid next week, so I have to keep my cool. That's going to be hard. I'm a mass of crazy emotion - angry, sad, miserable, hopeful that this can be easily resolved. Selfishly, I'm thinking about myself and how exhausted I am coping with just 'being', let alone anything stressful like this.

I hope I can find some strength from somewhere.

Sophie it is surprising where we find the strength, & you are not being selfish, you have had a lot to deal with, also a huge shock, your mom knows you are there to support her though all this, i hope you have some better news in the week, in the mean time try to look after yourself too, I know it's hard everyone will be thinking of you
    Take care Sue

Hey Starburst! don't go thinking it's selfish thinking of yourself! I'm sure your mom wants you to be feeling better rather than you being weak and sick. Your mom would want you to be stronger and better to care for her, and for you to beable to go to Uni and finish it. Your mom's in the best place being cared for. So you care for yourself! Big (((HUGS))).
