Well, that was a bad idea!

I popped along for my flu jab and got asked if I wanted the pneumonia jab. I thought that as I'm on MTX, leflunomide and prednisolone, it would be a good idea. Got stabbed in each arm and off I go......

Both arms ache. Both injection sites are swollen. Neither arm will allow me to lift them up. I have dirty hair and a wedding to go to tomorrow. As it is, I think I'll have to go in my slippers as my big toe joint is so swollen, it won't even fit in the darn shoe!

I could have had the pneumonia jab another time but I have so much on atm, I didn't want to risk not being able to make an appt!

You've got to laugh or else you'll cry.

That happened to me a few years back, I also did both at once and they subsided quickly so I'm hoping you shall go to the ball! I hope it settles for you...can you do the nice shoes with comfy shoes in bag? I had sore feet on my wedding day, did the walk down the aisle, did the entrance to the reception, sat down and then flicked the shoes off and spent the rest of the reception in my stockinged feet...could you do similar?!
Have a lovely day, LV xx
Hey little fighter, things will get brighter

Hey Starburst. I too made that mistake. Flu jab, no problem...Pneumonia jab, different story. I felt awful for about four days. Thankfully it only needs done every ten years or so. I have been unable to wash my daughters hair with her broken collarbone, so dry shampoo has been a godsend. Hope you manage to have a good time at the wedding anyway.

Treat yourself to a trim and go a long to a salon. They'll wash it :)

Had my jabs yesterday and the nurse was so sweet and caring, the receptionist told me that they wouldn't do them together and that would have meant waiting till 18th November for a flu jab - I don't want to delay any of the assesments for anti-tnf so had planned to get an Asda one if necessary but as soon as I explained it all to the nurse she said it was fine and had them both in the same arm.

Boy do I ache! Had a terrible night with lower back pain which meant I couldn't get into a comfortable position at all, took every pill I could lay my hands on....

Hope it passes quickly as it's so sore and makes using my arm nigh on impossible!

    *grumpy*

I climbed in the bath, got my mum to wash my hair for me, bashed my knee on the way out and got a massive speckled bruise to show for it but apart from that, all went smoothly!

Sorry you're in pain, Nic. I had an allergic reaction to the pneumonia jab. I had big red lumps on my arm that was so itchy. The rest of my arm felt like it weighed a tonne and was very sore. Today is the first day that it's looking and feeling better. Ok, I'll stop moaning now! :P I'm like a baby, get grumpy after my jabs too! Take care. xx
