    Hi Joan
I must say i hadn't heard of them before this, so I googled um, they are to stop the softening of bones due to osteoporosis, there are quite few dos and donts..they have to be taken on an empty stomach, so I would google them if I was you, then you have more info
I do hope they work for you Joan, I must say you do seem to have a good GP with all the test you have had.
    You take care xx
    Love

Hello, I am late to this what with one thing and another. I don't know anything about these tablets but if you are able to cut them so that they are easier to swallow then that is a good thing. I hope that they achieve what they are supposed to in the two weeks you have them - and the orange drink is a bonus! (Orange is my favourite flavour for all kindsa stuff. ) Good luck my lovely, I hope it all goes well for you. DD

Hi Joan, I'm sure it's fine to cut the tablets to make them easier to swallow.
    I hope they help you.
    Have a good day.

Oh my poor Joan, what a terrible time for you to go through. These things can be a trial and a bother can't they? The main thing is you were able to cut it up small enough so you could take it - that was probably a bit of a faff but you did it and well done to you. This won't last forever my lovely, grit your teeth and as the slogan says 'Keep calm and carry on.' Let's hope they help matters, yes? ((())) xxx DD

I am horrified at what your stepmother did  In fact prety angry :x Glad you did go and pay your respects.

Hope the new medication does it's job and glad you are allowed to chop the tablets up.

I was on didronel pmo some time ago. I don't remember the tablets being particularly large, perhaps mine were a different make. I'm told the same medication can vary according to the manufacturer.
Quite a lot later after a test for osteoporosis which proved negative my GP took me of didronel pmo. So it might be worth asking how long you'll need to take it if you find it awkward to deal with. My only difficulty was remembering to take the tablets for 14 days and not miss a day or take two on the same day| I'm sure you'll manage OK. If you can't then don't be afraid to go back to your GP and ask for an alternative.

Hello Joan. I'm sorry I'm so late on this. I'm afraid I know nothing of osteoporosis meds but you seem to have worked out a plan of action for swallowing them and that is good. I hope you're crossing off the days on the calendar to when you can move on to the orange drink.

As for your step-mother - words fail me! Luckily, those who know you think very highly of you indeed and are proud to be associated with such brave, strong people as you and Sue.
