Sudden Heat in Finger

I have been having a strange symptom in the little finger on my right hand.
It is nothing that bothers me that much, is not painful and I don't even know if it is connected to arthritis.
It suddenly feels as if some really hot air is being blown onto it. I thought for a start that it was the heat from the fan on my laptop as that is how it feels. It does it though when I am not using the laptop so cannot be that. It comes and goes in a few seconds and happens a few times a day.
Has anyone had anything like this with their fingers?
