Hi all
My RA knee pain has been terrible over the last few weeks
, mainly at night. My mum suggested trying a magnetic knee brace she'd seen advertised. Has anybody tried such things and if so do they do anything? The evidence seems shaky at best from reading :? , but at this point am willing to try anything to get some sleep
Or any other tips for night knee pain would be greatly received.
Thanks everyone x

I certainly wouldn't us any kind of knee support in bed andthey shouldn't be worn for long periods at any time as they can cause muscles to weaken but a good knee support can be useful during the day for times when you're on your feet a lot. Magnetic? Well, some people believe in them but, to my way of thinking, if you have 'proper' arthritis they don't do anything. A pillow under your knee might help in bed and I always take a couple of paindullers. If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

Before my Total Knee Replacements, heated wheatbags wrapped around the knees really helped me. Very comforting.

If you can lay down at night knowing in your heart that you made someone's day just a little bit better, you know you had a good day.0
