Had a girlie day with my 17 year old daughter , went out to lunch & did a little shopping. It really lifted my spirits , she such good company & so much help, so lucky to have her. I had to keep reminding her to slow down to "snails pace" , didnt do too badly, stopped for rests, really lifted my spirits.
Im not sure if I will ever be fit enough to charge around like I used to , but must not give up. Im suffering tonight, so a rest day for me tomorrow.
Im finding OA hard to come to terms with , feel old for my age, but know there are people much worse off than me , so must get on with it , just wish I could get rid of the pain.

Hi Lazicat, It's good to do 'normal' things now and again, it reminds you there are still special things you can do. But to do 'normal' things come with a price and that's suffering for it the next day! But the way I look at it is like going out and getting drunk you suffer with a hang over the next day! We suffer with being tired and some pain! And as getting drunk we always go and do it again!0

Hi Lazicat. Glad you had a good day out. Do know how you feel. I go out with my Son as often as possible and have a great time (apart from being in pain), but it does make you feel better to get out. As you say the trouble is that you then pay the price for going out. He is always planning something for us to do and it gives me something to look forward to as well. The alternative is staying at home all the time which is not for me and, as I am on my own, some days do tend to 'get me down', if you know what I mean. Hope you enjoy your next 'day out'. Beryl0
