For those of you who have an example of the male of the species in your lives is he doing 'Movember'? My male is still dithering; mine, however, is coming along a treat but being blonde I have to be in the right light for it to be seen.

As for the males on here (you know who you are  ) are you cultivating a hirsute upper lip? DD

    Hi

I'd like to encourage all the men to take part. What an easy way to make money for a really worthwhile charity.

Shula, I couldn't agree more. Last year my 'real life' male friends raised about £700 in sponsorship for their moustaches (one of our friends lost his dad to prostate cancer) so hopefully this year they / we can do the same again. Mr DD assures me there's nothing wrong with his prostate: much as I love him he is a twerp on this matter. DD

Mr SW last had a 'tache in the '70's. I quite liked it then but he didn't in the end and would never grow another. Charity has lost nothing as he's hopeless at asking people for money. Won't even carry a tin with others or flog raffle tickets.
If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

Somewhere we have a passport from the 1970s belonging to my belovéd. In that he sports a 'tache and basically he looks like a Dutch drug smuggler. It's horrid. He was obviously much younger in those days and it didn't suit him. Now he's older and much fuller in the face it will suit him even less. He said last night he won't be doing Movember because he can't bear to look scruffy whiilst at work. Hmmmm. I think most people would realise what the fluff (sorry, what I meant to type was full Burt-Reynolds after three days) would be in aid of and not mind. I am licking the ends of mine as I type. Daisy is indeed a wlarus. :D

Us Women have a few hairs round our mouth that we freak out about when we see them and say they are a 'tash'! So can we class our few hairs as our moustache for 'Movember' ? :D

I think this is a 'men only' activity - I've scraped a razor over mine and I am once more smooth around the upper lip. And chin. And elsewhere. DD

My OH has baby skin and takes over a month to get a little stubble.

Bless his heart - he grew it because people thought he was a girl

He looked a bit like this wee chap

Hey, I'll let you know that bearded is my usual attire (wife says I'm scruffy)!

I have always been ahead of fashion, I had stubble (can't be bothered to shave) when all the fashionistas were in nappies, holes in jeans (no money and always wearing them for jobs round the house), No. 2 haircut (bald and too tight to pay for salon to do it).

On a more serious note, an early eighties photograph of me with a tache is memorable thing, good luck to the Movember hairies!!!!
