when i first joined this forum, sombody posted the comment above, (rollercoaster ride) ive been ok-ish for weeks now, taking the meds,,, feeling ok-ish hydro and meth. folic acid,,, pain killers, ibuprofen,,,,
i woke up early for work 6am to find my hands like balloons and feet a Sasquatch would be proud of, and my right arm refuses to work!
so i guess its another week off work? or it will be gone by tommorow :?:
is a big flare up over night while asleep normal? and with all the meds? cheers guys,

Flares can still happen when you're taking meds - I comfort myself with the thought that they might be worse without the meds. Yup, it's a cold comfort. :) Who knows if it will subside as quckly as it came? I think I'm right in thinking that you have'nt been on the meds for that long, yes? DD

I wish I could give you a definite answer but, like so many things arthritic, there isn't one. It might go as quickly as it came. It might hang about and make itself at home. It might mean the meds aren't working yet...or working properly....or you need different ones. Give it a few days, if you can, and see how it is then.

Three weeks is very early days, Richy, they can take up to twelve weeks to kick in. Take things easy, obviously the arthritis is having a bite at you so go with the flow for the time being. DD

The good/bad news is I doubt your recent 'good health' is to do with the meds as it's so early. I think it was probably just one of those blips. However, that does mean that, with luck, you will be feeling better in a few weeks. I hope so.

I had to look up sasquatch Richy.

I'm a rollercoaster person too. Take yesterday I was just suffering from nausea from the tabs but the pain was low then my ankle flared and I could not walk on it by evening and my knees were agony. It makes planning for going out very difficult as can change so much in a day.

Hi richy take each day as it comes and you will start to recognise signs that could mean a flare up, I always flare three days before my humira jab is due, and feel totally wiped out just before. Most of the time you ride the storm on the flare up but you learn to work around the bad days. Good luck

Ah, this stuff keeps us on our arthritic toes, doesn't it? I am glad you are feeling better and I hope it lasts. DD
