Feel so , so tired after the weekend , dont really know why as I didnt do much and fell asleep most of Saturday afternoon.
Been struggling with pain again the last few days & feel abit down again.
I hate this time of year , cant bear seeing the leaves fall from the trees !
Its a vicious circle really cause if I do more it lifts my spirits to be achieving something but then the pain is worse, I know its best to do bite size pieces & pace myself , but so difficult to get used to & quite frustrating.
I feel as though life is just about arthritis at the moment. Perhaps I need to find a new Hobby.

I recognise that feeling Lazicat, where arthritis runs things and we don't. It's no fun and very frustrating. I tend to know that I have to accept those times of sleeping/ hibernating now and so I use the opportunity to watch films or something. If you can get somebody understanding (my OH does a fine job of this) to join you and not mind if you fall asleep etc you can actually turn it into a bit of fun and lift your spirits whilst resting, double whammy! This time of year always seems a bit rubbish, November is, for me, that turning when it isn't quite the beauty of autumn and it isn't quite the crispness of winter, it's a hinterland of mud and drizzle.
Hope things pick up soon, be kind to yourself and enjoy resting. LV xx

Yes, the 'bite-sized' pieces are difficult to get used to. Sometimes one can just alternate - something standing up followed by something sitting down. Pain itself is tiring and hard work and allowances must be made.

A hobby that lifts your spirits is a good idea at any time though, as long as it's relatively arthritis-friendly. In fact, I think every arthritic should have one as a balance-provider.

I actually love autumn. We went for a walk yesterday (Took the wheelchair though) and the golden leaves on the green grass looked beautiful. I couldn't resist having a kick through them like I used to as a kid. I didn't splash through the puddles though
If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

Must say I never minded the dark night..looked forward really to the cosy night in...but not since Arthur...like you say the tiredness is awful, I never know if its the limping or the pain, I have just acquired an hobby...painting..I did join a club, but they weren't novice painters like I thought...so I have bought a course on DVD..so far so good.
I hope you can find something to take your mind off things x
    Love

Hi Barbara. Sorry to hear you are having a 'feeling down' time. I do know the feeling so well myself and get so tired. I find that having a hobby helps me, I enjoy knitting, crocheting, embroidery, reading and doing jigsaw puzzles which all help to keep me from going mad just looking at 4 walls on my own.

Am glad to hear you are enjoying the painting. Keep at it. You may become famous one day!? I should love to be able to paint but am completely useless at it, handicrafts are more my 'scene'.

Take care and spoil yourself a little bit.
