Hi everyone well tomorrow I go to see the Consultant for the result of the second opinion he sent me for. I know I am having the knee redone I think it's called revision surgery. I still get the colly wobbles when I think about it. I had my yearly check at the GP last week I am in good health sugar cholesterol BP all very good. I had the flu jab as well. Done all my xmas shopping and baking so my husband says be prepared to go in soon. Although I am an NHS patient I am still under the private hospital and things are a little different regarding admission etc I don't think they have an 18week limit (hope not). Speak to you all soon Wendy

    Hi Wendy
I have followed your op and all the ups and downs you have had...must say mainly downs and loads of pain, I will have everything crossed for you that this revision will be the beginning of a new pain free life for you..or at least no pain from the knee when its all recovered.xx
    Love

I've had a knee revision and so has LindaLegs. I ended up with a much longer implant but no problems. I came out after it on 23rd Dec. I also once had a THR over Christmas so I specialise in December ops  Like you, I did all I possibly could for Christmas before I went in. When I came out I left it all to Mr SW. Simple.

Good luck for tomorrow and please update us afterwards.

It's nice to see your replies thank you Just got back from seeing my Cosultant he is doing a revision on the knee thank goodness he is contacting me in the next few days to arrange a date. Don't know if it will before or after Xmas. Phew this is the 4th replacement I will have had 2 hips and now a second knee I should be used to it by now and today I have felt sick all day and been really stressed out It didn't help when he started explaining to me what was actually wrong and how he was going to do it. Still anything will be better than the pain lets face it it can't be any worse no matter what he does. Keep you all updated Wendy

I think I'd find that thought very helpful, wendgro. I hope it's soon and I hope it works as well as my revision does. Yes, please do keep us updated.
