Sick note ends next week

Hi Everyone,

I wonder if someone could give me some advice please. I am thinking of returning to Job Seekers Allowance. My sick note ends next week on the 22nd. Do I need a fit note or can I just ring job seekers enquiry line to apply?

By the way I wont be able to get a doctors appointment till the 26th. That is what I have been told when I rang today. All pre-booked appointments have gone.

    i think you probably will need a signing off line from gp and if you explain to jobcentre re: docs app i'm sure it will be ok, sorry i can't be more precise........marie xx

    I think you need to get signed off by your GP.

    If you need another sick note do you have to see GP?

    At my surgery I can request a sick note, like putting in a request for repeat meds, by filling in a form and giving to receptionist, and it's ready in 48hours.
