No apology needed, Nikki. The whole purpose of the forum is so that we can support each other.

I've not experienced this as a side-effect of meth and I don't think I've heard anyone else mention it. However, who needs meth to experience depression whn confronted with arthritis? I'd have thought it can be quite depressing enough on its own.

How long have you been taking it and are you worried about it? A lot of people who are new to it worry about side-effects. Or, is there other stuff worrying you?

If in doubt I suggest you see your GP. Maybe a short course of anti-depressants might help. This rubbish is hard enough to deal with without feelings of depression and worthlessness. Don't let it grind you down, Nikki. (())

Depressed? Oh yes, been there, done that and am currently plummeting again (despite the anti-depressants) due to a variety of circumstances which are all difficult. Tonight I snapped at my husband which is not like me at all. He's now being extra, extra nice and all I want to do is slap him.

I think that coping with arthritis itself is a test of even the best of psyches (which I don't have) and then in the general every-day crapola of life and surely it's no wonder that it all gets too much at time. Plus, if one is a female of the right age, you can stir in the hormone malarkey to the mix. Ye gods. I thought that with being an agéd hag of 53 that with the hormones long-gone things would be easier. Yeah, right.

I think I am right in thinking you are quite new to all this? A month of meth may not be enough to help your arthriits and yes, that is so frustrating. I apologise for not remembering your circumstances and I hope that you feel better in yourself soon. Talk to your GP, your family and us. Take care. DD

I hit a severe low point about 18 months ago. I couldn't believe I could be so low. No drugs were involved. Just good old fashioned feeling down. I assume many drugs carry with them side effects which include depression but arthritis is enough to get you there too. hang in there.

    Hello Nikki

Can't help you regarding the meth drug, but just wanted to give you my support for better days ahead. I get times when I feel really low and don't even want to talk to anybody, but I now know that I will have better days and I make the most of them when I do. If you are worried have a word with your doctor and we on the forum are always here to support you.
