I know they say bad news comes in three's but this is taking the biscuit!! A couple of days ago I noticed puss in the crease area of my bottom and just ignored it at 1st but yesterday it was still there and the whole area was sore and there seemed to be to be more puss so I put a pad on. I thought it must have been an infection of some sort so put some talc treatment on it. Well my G.P & I had a phone consultation this morning so 1st on the adgenda was my flare up of course so we discussed it and she was happy with the way I was handling it. So I mentioned the puss and discomfort I was having I told her where it was coming from she asked me to describe the puss so I told her and she said I was afraid you where going to say that and said she was 99% sure it was an abcess! So she's put me on some antibiotics for the weekend and she wants to see me 1st thing Monday morning.
So I now need to ask you lovely people for pocket duties on Monday morning for my G.P's appt and Monday Afternoon for my Rhumatologist appt. I'm sorry to literally ask you for pocket duties all of Monday I hope you can help.

I hope the abcess will just involve a quick glance followed by some anti-bios and a pack of dressings. That's what I was given when I'd to see the doc about one in...erm...the knicker area the day before we flew out to LA one year. (What larks Mr SW and I had in the tiny loo of the plane trying to keep a pack of sterile dressings sterile with cries of "Stick it here" and "Whoops" I have no idea what the other passengers thought we were doing  )
Good luck with the rheumatologist. I hope you get some decent meds.If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

Sorry to hear you're in pain you know where. Must be very uncomfortable.
I'll be with you on Monday and hopefully the antibiotics will soon get to work.

Hi Bubba,
Yes, you can count me in too; good luck with both appointments
Best wishes,
PhoebePsA (psoriatic arthritis) and other things since 1990. Happy to help when I can :-)0 -
I would be there but because that is the day before my hands op I suspect I shall be somewhat preoccupied: that, however, does not prohibit my thinking about you. I've had anti-bios for a similar 'regional' problem and those (combined with stopping the meth) proved to be an effective treatment. Good luck, Bubba. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0

Hi Bubba,
Of course I will be there. How horrible for you.

Thank you everyone! I'm finding it hard to sit down at the moment! A weekend of double pain I have ahead!!0

Poor you, that must be uncomfy. A doughnut cushion may help - I'm not sure if chemists routinely stock such things but it may be worth enquiring. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0

So sorry about all this Bubbadog. You really don't need the "unpleasant extra"
I'll be there for pocket duties on Monday - and hope both appointments are helpful.
Thinking of you.
