As you know last week I was having problems taking the Meth and Sulpha together.

Last Wednesday I passed out in work and got sent home.
I was shaking for most of the night and having real bad problems + a sore throat. Phoned NHS 24 and they advised me to stop taking the Sulpha.

I got an emergancy appointment the following day with my own GP and he also advised me to stop taking the Sulpha and stop taking the Meth as the doses that I was on where too high and I have effectively had an overdose. He did warn me that I would get withdrawl symptoms from the Sulpha.

On the Friday the withdrawl symptoms where very scary, I everything from being sick, to shaking, but it was coming and going in waves.

I have an appointment with the RA nurse tomorrow so i will be asking a few questions as to why I was given such I high dose!

However, since I have stopped taking everything my knee has now gone to the size of a balloon, so now taking really strong painkillers!

Will need some pocket duties for tomorrow as I think I will really lose my temper with them given everything thats happened!

Sorry for the moan, but I knew that you lot would understand.

    You take care

    Hi Debra Kelly

Gosh that sounds hellish, youve certainly been put through the wringer with the high dosage and withdrawals, now the knee swelling is just not good is it? I dont know why they would put you on such high doses, presumably thought it was what your condition needed but maybe someone misjudged the amount you were given?
Hope you get some solutions from the RA appointment....Certainly hope this run of bad luck is over and behind you.

I'm so sorry about this. I've never done sulph and never had real problems with meth but that sounds like a horrific experience and just as well you did the right thing by getting in touch with the docs. I hope they can get something sorted for you tomorrow and your knee will soon get back to normal.
If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

Hi Debra. That sounds as though you have had a very rough time and do hope you can get things sorted at your appointment. You really should have a moan at them. These meds do the most awful things sometimes (as I know through personal experience). Will be thinking of you. Beryl. (()))

    Hi Debra

I am so sorry to hear you are having such a bad time at the mo. You must have been really scared. I dont have RA, so have never had your meds, but I just wanted to let you know that I shall be thinking of you and really hope the nurse can sort you out.

Sending hugs of comfort your way. ((()))
