For those of you who don't know, I'm in my 2nd year of university. I'm doing a social work degree as a mature(ish!) student. I have to do 100 days on a placement this year and another 100 days next year. I also have Rheumatoid Arthritis.

Today, I had my first direct observation (my practice assessor observed me interacting with a service user) and I passed with flying colours. So, I'm free to continue unleashed on the world! Life is not without its challenges but life goes on in its own way, despite the RA.

    Hi Sophie

Just wanted to say a big Congratulations to you. Good going considering you are dealing with RA as well.

As already said, you should be so so proud of yourself, keep up the good work.

    Brilliant!

I always think that instead of saying that a person is 'suffering from RA' we should say that we have a second job 'working with RA'

    Well done!

    Hi Sophie
    Well Done.
Uni work is very taxing and doing a placement as well as all the theory is work indeed.
Hope you are feeling very proud.
Best joke I ever read, "With that information and a diagnosis of spondylosis, your doctor can develop a treatment plan‏" or back in reality totally ignore you. Is ok I have a sense of humour and a boxing glove, not defeated yet.

Well done, you! You've had so much to contend with healthwise it's a real tribute to you that you've overcome it all so well. Thanks for sharing the good news, Sophie. Same again next time???
If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.
