I like the inverted commas around the word 'pet'. Mine have a fine bottle of red and will shortly be aquiring a whole (small) blue stilton to go with the three books about the First World War, a laptop cushion and some jazzy socks. Odd gifts for slumbering ladybirds but hey, I'm sure they'll like them. DD

Bones from the butchers for the dogs

    Sardines for the cats

Cabbages for the chickens (and extra porridge if really cold)

A plant for the fish tank

Some peanut butter in the humane trap for the bloomin mice that have invaded us and a better trap for Houdini mouse that can get both in and out of the current trap!

And for the husband the James Bond audio book set with a different actor reading each book. That will keep him quiet ;)

For my pet husband - the remote controlled helicopter which he's been itching to buy our grandson ever since the lad was 2 months old. He's now 3 but not growing fast enough so....

For my pet bottle of Chenin Blanc I might splash out with an Ardbeg or Bowmore.

I once bought my son's dog and 'edible Christmas Card' and he just ignored it. He's a dog's dog and doesn't do the pampered pooch stuff.

Daisy produced 3 pups..........one a very small sickly thing......
The other 2 fine strong pups.....
Let us say the sickly one is no longer with us......

I've always wanted a liver/white Cocker Spaniel bitch.....
A very unusual colour is my experience.......
Looks like one of them is liver/white.......although it could turn liver/roan.....
If it stays liver/white..........I think I will now be owned by 7 of them....Cockers that is....

As for presents...........raw venison for Christmas day.........

I don't have any pets but bought my son's dog a bone and my daughter's dog a bag of bacon-flavoured treats. Not sure which will be wolfed down first.

Sadly no pets although I'm constantly pestered for a kitten. I'd love one but every cat I've ever owned has a tendency to run in front of cars.

My boyfriend 'pet' never wants anything other than parts for his Lambretta which he has to source incase I get it wrong and the 5 little lambs are getting techie stuff although lamb no.2 might need it to buy some food!

Sorry about your puppy Rob
