They have just announced on BeebBeebCeebOne that Edwina Currie and Kerry Katona are appearing on Pointless Celebrities and my immeidate thought was 'How apt is that?' so go on, name yours. :wink: DD

    :oops: I can't. I never recognise any so-called 'celebrities'. In our house, any show with celebrities produces numerous questions ("Who's he/she?" "Should I have heard of him/her?") but no answers.

    I do remember Edwina Currie, the egg-woman, though, when her name is mentioned, I have a mental, 'spitting image type' picture of her and John Major and, as usual, that makes me feel slightly queasy so I'm abandoning this post.
    If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

    For me, my pointless 'celebrity' of the moment has to be Limahl. He was so ridiculous on I am Celeb get me out of here.

    2 hits 20 years ago is not a celebrity.

    I thought 'how apt' when I saw the title pointless celebrities too. Its galling to think they get paid so much.

    Ah, wrong celeb for that televisual crime, Barbara, I think that was 'Gorgeous' George Galloway. Other pointless celebs for me are Aggie McKenzie, Russell Brand, Christopher Biggins and Fiona Phillips (I really and truly cannot stand her). DD

    If we can't name them and we don't know who they are, how can they be celebrities? or are they just claiming the status? As for all the 'heros' of this past year, don't get me started!

    Any politician irrespective of party they represent. They all talk a complete pack of lies and tend to be completely and utterly useless.

    (My elderly father - he's 88) would line them all up against the wall and shoot the lot of them if he had his way! ... Now - there's a thought!

    Its abbreviation for a TV programme called The Only Way Is Essex. They follow a group of young people (from Essex) with extensions, fillers and enhanced bits.

    I like the American phrase 'trailer trash' - it seems oddly applicable to the cast of TOWIE. I suspect those with the extensions, fillers and enhanced bits are the blokes. :wink:
