Patrick Moore dies.

At the age of 89 the great Astronomer has passed away bless him.
I've watched The sky at night for many years, he was so enthusiastic about the stars, and a very talented Xylophone player too.

R.I.P Patrick.

    I'm genuinely saddened by his death. He seemed a charming man despite his own personal tragedy losing the love of his life during the war. I'm glad he had a good innings and died peacefully at home.

    Such sad news that Patrick Moore has died ; he was one of our local celebrities and will be missed very much both in Selsey and in the rest of sussex . Jillyb

    Gosh, he was one of those people I thought would always be about (which I know is silly). I remember him from my childhood and that was some time ago. RIP Sir P Moore and thank you for trying to teach me about the stars. DD

    Like DD I assumed he would always be there...

    Oh know I hadn't heard this Ron..like you I was brought up with sky at night...he came over has such a genuine and lovely man....maybe he is up there now in the universe looking down on us...bless him
