Rowing machines

Do any forum members have experience of using a rowing machine with OA of the hip? I'd like to supplement cycling which I love and swimming which I hate! Thanks in advance. Finnegan

If you fancy having a go, borrow a small rowing boat and gently try it, you'll soon know if its for you!0

Val's right. You need some expert advice here. The GP would be good but a physio would probably be better. I know swimming and cycling are recommended as they are non-weight-bearing. I'd guess rowing is, too, but I'm not sure. I can see there'd be some resistance there which might either be bad or might be good for hips and knees. If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.
