I have just been to see my doctor again today as I have had lots of pain with my hands in the last 2 days most likely due to the cold weather also, finally he has done me a referral to see a joint specialist,It's not until the 8th February but I'm just happy to finally be getting somewhere at last.

This is good news, Shandy, and it will not be long until February (think back to October, yes? ) It can take time to get answers but keep talking to us in the meantime to keep us up-to-date with how you are. Take care. DD

Hi Shandy, good for you standing up to your G.P and getting the referal. I've said it once but I will say it again, only you know your body and only you know if something is out of sorts, when your in pain and when if you have double vision or can't see well!
Hope you will get the answers you want when you see the consultant in Febuary.

Well done! It was your own determination and perseverance that got you the appointment. That can be so difficult when we're in a lot of pain. Please ask for pocket duties, if required, nearer the time.

Pocket duties is where we all, metaphorically, jump into someone's 'pocket' so that they'll have reinforcements for difficult appointments. It can help just to know that others are thinking of you and encouraging you. Available on request
