I was happily surprised to have a chat with Poppy today, it was a good chance to catch up but she, alas, is well and truly in the wars.

In addition to the PsA she has now been diagnosed with RA and fibro. She is in and out of hospital all this week having various treatments and is very sorry that she hasn't been on here for so long but hey, I reckon she has enough on her plate at the moment, don't you? I think it is unusual to have both PsA and RA but it's not unknown - it's not affecting her treatment but it was s shock to discover the RA.

I asked her if she wanted me to let those who remember her know and she said yes please - she does look in from time to time but doesn't feel she can be of support or use to anyone at the current time because she herself is well and truly under the arthritic cosh.

Take care, Poppy, get through this week of treatment, rest when you can and I sincerely hope that a new med (or combination of meds) can be found and tried which actually DOES something positive for you. I wish you well. DD

Hell's bells, does it ever end for poor Poppyg1rl? When she last contacted me, if I understood her correctly, they were thinking wrong diagnosis ie RA not PsA. I certainly didn't think she meant both. Poor lass!

I hope the week will bring something productive for her. She has always been such a support to others. If you see this, I am thinking of you very much, Poppyg1rl.

Poor Poppygirl...gosh I have OA and thats enough to cope or not cope with...give her my love ....I do hope she gets some help with the pain very soon xx

Things are tough... but I have wonderful family and friends, great faith and I know I'll get there in the end.

Hi Poppygirl, I've not been posting much but do pop on when I get a chance. I'm so sorry to hear you've had such a rough time of it. Hopefully they'll get things sorted out and you'll soon be on the mend. It must be so tiring up and down from the hospital all the time, on top of the tiredness you must already be feeling. Just wanted to send you warm hugs and good vibes. Hang in there, things will soon get better for you.
