BBC news headline today, UK to name part of Antarctica "Queen Elizabeth Land", how utterly pathetic and out dated, what next renaming the UK pleb Island?.

    Not sure what it says about her naming the coldest and most barren bit of the world after her. Seems a strange thing to do but then the cabinet clubbing together to buy her place mats also seems a bit weird. We did the jubilee and now we're scrapping the barrel for ideas.

    To be honest Rob I'm not anti royal I just find it extremly pathetic and toe curling it’s the kind of thing a 3rd world dictator would do, and anyway there’s a UN treaty that states Antarctica can’t be owned or controlled by anyone its meant to be kept as a wilderness so this is a load of old rubbish it means nothing, it's a case of lets see how far we can stick our noses up the queens rear end.

    i hope she was tipped off before she went as dont know how she could have kept striaght face when it was announced!
