hi all my names mike
thanks for the welcome dd ,ive had the PsA about 9 months now
but i now think had it prob lot longer , ie been getting weeker prob few years now ,and got to a stage where cant do my work.
had psoriasis about 10 years ago (50) 2 spots mild realy then came
the arthritis wow ,(didnt now about this) do now, its knocked me for 6.
anyway on met at moment no prob so far hope it helps. :? :?

Hi there, Mike, and welcome. Mine's RA but the meds are more or less the same. I've been on meth for over 10 years and it works well for me. I hope it does for you, too.

Hello again Mike, it's good to meet you on your own thread. I began my troubles in 1997 but it wasn't until 2006 that the various 'stars and planets aligned' and the proper diagnosis for me was PsA. Deep, deep joy. :roll: Nothing changed for me in terms of treatment or outcomes but no matter, my name is (kinda) DD and I have arthritis. Hey-ho.

With hindsight I realise I began the meds too late (ummmm, NOT my fault!) so I now have osteo arthritis in my ankles and knees thanks to joint damage. Hopefully the meth will begin to bring your immune system under control and thus reduce the worst of the symptoms. I am very lucky in that I am self-employed but, even so, what I can manage is being reduced at an increasing rate. Do you take anything else apart from meth? DD

Welcome to the forums Mike

You would normally have had lots of welcomes but most people are busy busy with Chrsitmas and the like.

I hope the MTX is the best drug ever for you and that you feel ever so much better on it.
