Losing muscle tone can happen very quickly. I expect that like many of us it hurts you to move around so we try to keep that to a minimum which doesn't help matters. I regularly do my post op knee exercises to try and keep some tone to my legs and, when life permits, I try to tone my arm muscles just by lifting a couple of full tins (on a good day soup, on a bad one sweetcorn or sardines, on a very bad day an empty tin!), not doing anything fancy but just moving my arms as much as I can.

I lost three stones once when I was taken off all my meds (due to an enbrel reaction) and flaring badly. This was despite my living on a diet of full fat Coke, Hula hoops and ice cream. The body is a mysterious thing. DD
Have you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben

Muscle loss, yes, my Physio told me that I had lost 90% of my body muscle, due to being unable to do much because of pain.

Weight loss, no, infact I have put on weight due to same reason as above.
