If all has gone to plan, he'll have got in the different kind of chemo and her blood results will be good enough for her to start it tomorrow.

I have everything crossed for you, May. Let's hope it's a case of new year/new chemo/new results. (())

I don't know what's happening (or not) as May hasn't been in touch. Her computer was giving her terrible trouble before Christmas. I just hope the chemo is on and it will help. May, if you can see this, I'm thinking of you.

Hi...Well I'm online but for how long I don't know. I think it might have to be a case of buying another make of computer or giving Virgin the heave ho.
No chemo today although it is in but the unit are 2 staff down. Waiting a week isn't life threatening. In fact I'm quite relieved as I was there yesterday morning with my daughter for her 3 month scan and then back again at 4.30 to see the onco.
I hope you all had a lovely Christmas and have a Peaceful New Year.
We had a quiet Christmas and went out at New Year as it was John's birthday.10 of us attacking a downtown bar and then on for a meal all organised by one of my daughters.I spent most of New Years day feeling like I'd been run over by at least one bus. Then I didn't take all my pain relief yesterday as I thought I'd be getting loaded with the poison today.
I know...what thought did !!!! So today I've doped myself well enough to shuffle about doing very little but the shuffle.
This new chemo will apparently make the palms of my hands and soles of my feet sore. Its recommened I don't wash up......another job for John.
I don't know what you are supposed to do about washing your hands or your feet for that matter in the shower. A question to make a note of.
Well this dongle or whatever it is has held me here so hopefully things have now improved.I don't want to tempt fate.
Sorry I haven't been around for you guys and girls but hopefully I'm back now.
Please all take care of yourselves.
    Love May xx

That sounds like a good New Year, May, apart fom the 'bus', of course  I think it got me too but I guess I did ask for it. I hope John enjoyed his birthday. Have a good week - we'll all be back for you next Thursday.

It's great to hear from you and I hope that you can get your 'puter troubles sorted. We're with Virgin and have no complaints whatsoever - when we have had a problem they sorted it overnight so maybe we've just been lucky.

I wasn't hit by a 'bus' over Christmas (much to my surprise) but still managed to enjoy myself. I am thinking of you a great deal and I wish you well. DD

Its apparantly not the Virgin hub in itself. Its that my computer isn't compatable with it. It was ok with the old one and then they sent us a quicker one and all the problems started.I did try with my daughter's phone but my fingers won't let me write anything that can be read.
It's been good today so maybe the problem is solved. I'm not sure though that this hub is quicker...not really bothered as long as it works.
Just had a shock when I looked at my bank statement until I realised my son owes for his car insurance which I might or might not get.
I'm staying away from my eldest daughter as they all have that stomach bug....bad really because she's my hairdresser but I'll manage it myself although I need a cut.I'm sat here with frozen mixed veg on my knees as the burning and swelling I could do without.Definately leave the light bulb for John I'll just use the lamp.
Many thanks for all the support I've run out of words to let you know what it means to me. Love May

Val...I don't want to do the dishes!!!!! This may come as a surprise to you but I'm happy for OH to do them.
Its quite common for your hands to feel as they do. Mention it to the specialist though as it can continue after chemo stops.
This is a new chemo I'll be having. Feel like its being tested on me but I don't mind as long as it works.
DD I know you are here it was just I couldn't get to you....maddening.
    May xx
