I'm Still Here!

Hello, I don't know if anyone will remember me, but I am a lapsed contributor, due to having to limit the amount of time I spend typing and the effect it has on my fingers and my card-making activities etc. I have also been feeling a bit fed up as my GP has been thinking along the lines of fibro and CFS, as contributory factors! Due to the amount of fatigue and type of pain I have.
Anyway, I am seeing my own GP next week, she has been of sick for a long time and although I've seen another GP, who was very understanding, he has retired at Christmas! Funny, I seem have some sort of strange effect on the local GPs!
Anyway, I just wanted to wish everyone a Happy New Year and to say that I'm still around! I think I've been a bit depressed and wanted to run away from all the problems. Also I'm trying to train as an adviser at the CAB, which I can do at my own pace. I am finding it quite hard going, as I get so tired and have to make sure I don't overdo things or I have a few days resting and feeling so awfully tired. Love to all, Sue xxx

Hello Woodbon
A big happy new year hug to you! It sounds like you have a lot to deal with at the moment. I tend to find that the more there is to cope with and the harder it seems to cope the more I want to run away from it all so I am not surprised that you feel that way at times. You are clearly a strong and giving person and your aim of becoming a CAB advisor is so admirable - many people would just give into their problems but you are trying to find a way to help others, wow!
I hope your GP has some help to offer and until then, we are all here to support you and listen to anything you need to say. I wish there was a way you could contribute without having to type so that you could make more use of us all.

Hello Sue. It's lovely to see you again and a Happy New Year to you, too. I'm sorry things aren't on too even a keel for you but well done on the CAB training. I've always admired CAB people for their depth and breadth of knowledge. Good for you!If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

Hi Sue, it is lovely to hear from you. I think that ongoing pain does make you tired and down.

Thank you for all the lovely messages, it makes me feel better
I had to wait for an hour to see my GP and then she was so late we just covered the basics, which is unusual for her, but she is just back after a six months break for illness!
I have to have another blood test and she is going to test for celliac {spelling???) syndrome, which could be causing some of the problems and also RF as it could be that!!! I feel like a walking medical dictionary, but I know I have to get checked over just to make sure its fibro and oa, which should be enough for anyone. :x

So just to say Happy New Year, Hope its a bit better for you, and we know you are about even if you dont/cant come on often

I do hope there's nothing else on the horizon for you, Sue, but better safe than sorry. Good luck!If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.
