Hi to all you lovely fellow arthur people!
Happy new Year all! Sorry it is a bit late but I have had a bit of broadband trouble. Sorted now thank goodness.
I hope you are all doing ok and had a good Christmas too .
I am plodding (literally!) with my dodgy hips and back. I have just rung the Ortho`s sec to ask about my MRI results, which she had there, but couldn`t tell me about (obviously). She is emailing the appointments people to arrange an appointment hopefully within 2 weeks. So I will keep waiting.
I applied for DLA (again as was turned down in past and couldn`t cope with arguing then) and was turned down, again. I rang them and have asked for a reconsideration. They said it was decided I don`t qualify on the information from GP/Consultant. So i asked for a copy of their reports. I got them today, and to be honest their info backs up my claim. The ortho told them about my congenital hip problem and confirmed it caused me disability. My GP outlined my problems, medication, and told them about my mobility problems. So I am confused??!!
I will have to wait until the reconsideration is done, and hope for the best. Has anyone got experience of reconsiderations? How long does it take?
I am having a bad day pain wise, and nothing is touching it. Hope tomorrow is better!
Take care

Hello NB, it's good to hear from you again but I wish the news was better.
Keep plugging away at the DLA people because I reckon that if your reports support the claim then they should at least re-consider. As for the pain - welcome to the club, I think the weather may have summat to do with it 'cos mine's off the scale at the moment. Grrrrrrrrrr. Keep up with the dullers because they do make a difference. DD
Have you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0 -
It's good to hear from you again, NB. Sorry about your broadband problems. I can't help on the DLA front. It sounds ridiculous but, in the current climate, almost normal :roll:If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.
