I have for the last 2 nites been having trouble sleeping,I am waking half way through the nite with what I can only explain as my right leg feeling uncomfortable, not even sure if it's pain or not but then for the rest of the nite I will be tossing and turning because I have to keep moving position with my leg all the time after about 20 mins each time.Does anyone know why this is,what it is or what is causing this please as it's making me quite tired now.

I don't know what it is as I believe you haven't mentioned arthritis in your legs. I guess it could be that or some reaction to the meds or a host of other things. Your GP is the best one to advise if it's seriously affecting your sleep patterns. You could try re-jigging the pain meds so that you have one for bedtime or for when it wakes you but, if there's a problem, that would only mask it.
If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

I've been getting a lot of cramp pain in my right knee for a good few weeks ,almost everyday now especially at nite but during the day too sometimes it could be related to my Arthritis which it most likely is as it's only in my right leg but until my appointment I cant be sure so maybe this could be related not sure but If it persists I think I will have to return back to my GP again.

Cramp crops up on here as a topic on a frequent basis. Recommendations include eating more bananas (for their potassium), drinking tonic water (for the quinine) and in my case I eat a little more salt (usually a couple of small bags of ready-salted). Do you have to move your leg to make it feel more comfortable? And keep moving it? DD

Yeh I do a lot about every 15 mins once I've been woken up with it and with cramp in the evening I use a heat pack or deep heat cream helps too.

I think it might be wise for you to go and see your GP about this, it could be a reaction to the meds you are taking (I forget which though, I apologise  ) or it could be to do with the arthrits, who knows? I cramp because I don't move enough during the night and it's pretty miserable. I hope you can see your GP soon and that he can shed some light on this. I wish you well. DD

Thankyou I will see if it happens again over this weekend if still the same I will get in touch with my doc again Monday morning.I worry about calling him all the time too as I feel he gets fed up with me lately yet 4 months ago I probably never ever visited my GP but I will if it persists. I'm on Lansoprazole and Napraxen have been fine with them so hoping it's not that as I don't want to have to change my meds but if I have to then I guess I must.

Seems we have another charmer amongst us folks! It wasn't that long ago that we had another one with the over acid argument, they were american and I do wonder, from the delightful phrase 'dumb asses' if we have the same charmer back with us under a different name, very brave if so.

Shandy, if things aren't any better have you tried popping a pillow between your knees and thighs? I'm doing this at the mo because my joints are struggling with lying in one position for long as the extra pressure of two babies in my tummy (or maybe just two balls of acid if you are limey) is causing me to wake up with painful hips and almost dead legs...just a thought that may be worth trying, it just keeps everything in line a bit better although turning over with that pillow, the one under my bump and the one under my shoulder does make for fun, I think the Ark Royal turned faster. Good luck and let us know how you went on with the GP if you ended up back there...and don't be put off going by internet trolls with their offensive ways.
Hey little fighter, things will get brighter
