Hi all,
Finally got my broadband connection back so can post again! Managed to get a docs appointment not with the doctor I hoped through he was pretty useless knew nothing about blue badge scheme! Asked about exercises to strengthen my hip joint nope knew nothing about them either! I've been given co codamol high dose and antriplyine to help me sleep both have me completely zombiefied so I'm using them only if I'm desperate ! However got my MRI through on the 29th so that's one thing down!
My question is can I get copies of letters from consultant to the doctors? I'd like to have my own copy really I managed to get a sneaky look of it at the docs!
Hope you are all well

You can get hip exercises from AC's exercise booklet, Lolabilly. (See 'Publications and Resources' at the top of the page)
Pain relief does consist of achieving a balance between pain and being unable to function. You'll work out what's right for you in time.
It's good that you've got your MRI.
I'm sure you can get copies of the consultants' letters. I never do but I'm pretty sure Hileena does all the time. I expect you ask the consultant rather than the GP.If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

Thank you for your replies!
Il ring the secretary then tomorrow I just like to keep in the know plus the hospital have lost my notes completely so I'd rather have what I can get my hands on if you get me
It's hard balance to make indeed, tried just some low dose co codamol today but ended up on the sofa all day! Ill get there!

Hi Lola
The secretary should be able to send you a copy without even asking the consultant I know mine did...............Marie xxSmile a while and while you smile
smile another smile and soon there
will be miles and miles of smiles
just because you smiled I wish your
day is full of Smiles0 -
After all my problems I keep a copy of everything - they send them automatically now! I used to just assume that the best was being done but after I asked a few questions about my treatment a few years in and the answers were a bit 'hedged' I started to research and then ask more!
Keep on at them, these are notes about you!
