Having my thumb fused next month. I was just wondering if anyone has had similar and how long it took to recover? All I know is that I'll be in plaster for 4 weeks.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Hi jenzie. If you put 'thumb fusion' into the search engine at the top of the page quite a few threads come up.If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

Hi Jenzie
I haven't had my thumb done but had the dip joint on my index finger done about eight weeks ago, just starting to get total feeling back in finger and the middle joint is still stiff to bend but coming along with exercises, the finger looks good, go to physio on Thursday and hoping to get rid of splint altogether. I'm sure there are a few that have had the thumb done, hopefully someone will come along soon, good luck with the op and let us know how things go..............tc..............MariexSmile a while and while you smile

Thanks for the replies. I'm actually quite looking forward to it, is that odd? I'm really looking forward to a pain free joint anyway.0
