Nothing here yet although we are on an amber alert for snow. Hope it misses us.

Yep, snowing in my town, but roads are clear and more importantly, the school is open!

Havoc on motorways though, husband having trouble, witnessed accident, phoned police so will only breathe big sigh of relief when he arrives in London safe.

We had snow over night here in Redditch, Worcestershire! We had 2cm thick covering this morning now the rain is getting rid of it! But we are suppose to have more this week, as long as it doesn't last long I'm happy!

Well what mixed weather we have all had then. Sorry Airwave we did rather use it all up again

We ended up with loads of it this morning and although school was open I seriously thought they would be sent home as the flakes we big fat and hairy this morning :D

But then it changed to rain and most of it has washed away :(

It was lovely while it lasted and really IS the best kind of snow isn't it - the stuff that doesn't turn into mucky slush over weeks!

No time for building a snowman though Sticky sorry - better luck next time

    Love

OK Toni. We've got plenty of our own and, as the temperature isn't due to get above freezing until Fri/Sat, I don't think it'll be off in a hurry.

We had a sprinkling of snow last night but much heavier snow today. It laid on the grass but is melting quite quickly now. More expected tomorrow. I don't mind it in the garden but do worry for motorists and the elderly.

We had just enough snow to make the children jump for joy but its nearly all gone now. The weather forecast had said snow on Tuesday and Wednesday and I'd duly informed the children but the weather man has let me down again. :(

Apparently Norfolk County Council have failed to grit the major roads in time so a journey that should take 'im indoors about 70 minutes is probably going to take 120. (The part between Diss and Keswick this morning took him 110 min utes instead of the usual 35 - 40). Once he hits the border the roads turn green on the AA map but north of it they're all red. Didn't someone tell NCC it was going to snow? :? Ye gods. DD

So, Norwich has ground to a halt, it even made the news on Drive (R5Live) this afternoon. A couple of gritters have crashed and one had to be escorted by the police. On the other hand Suffolk CC (or Ipswich Borough, not sure which to be honest) have sent the gritters round twice in the past four hours. I wonder if they'll run out of grit by Friday?

This happens year after year: OK, I accept that we're not in the same snow league as Russia, the USA, Switzerland etc but we are so easily defeated by less than half an inch of the white stuff. WHY? It's winter. DD

We had a few inches by this morning. it gradually melted but it didn't actually stop snowing. -5 degrees already. Gritters are out around 2am here. The roads are fine though.
