Hello Ariete and a big welocme, you do not say what type of arthritis you have I take it is an auto immune type re the injection, I am sort of in the same position although I have OA in my hands and a neurological condition as well, post some more info re the type you have and the meds that you take and type of injection, I'm sure some of the others will be along soon to pitch in, hope to see you around .............tc.............Marie xSmile a while and while you smile
smile another smile and soon there
will be miles and miles of smiles
just because you smiled I wish your

Hello Ariete, it's nice to meet you and believe you me, you're not the only one who feels unhappy.
I began my frist arthritis in 1997 but didn't start any meds until 2002 because no-one recognised what was going on with me. What meds are you taking and which weekly injection? There are quite a few options in our weird and wonderful arthritic world. I have been self-employed since 1995 but I am facing the sad reality that I won't be able to carry on for much longer, I have multiple affected joints and it's just getting harder and harder even though my work is not that physically strenuous. Arthritis does not respect our wants and wishes and it takes time for us to learn to live (and cope) with it. The forum is a good place for encouragement, information and support so feel free to ask any questions you may have and we will do our best to help you with answers. I wish you well. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0 -

My hands are affected too and feet but my diagnosis is still ongoing as initailly diagnosed with OA of spine with disc bulges but now they believe I have some form of inflammatory too. Its hard but we have to sit back and let the experts do their tests and wait. So many lovely people on this forum though who will help you through the good and bad as sometimes a rant is in order to let off steam or a good joke is in order to cheer us all up. Lean on me is my favourite song right now.

Hello and welcome
What type of arthritis do you have? I have osteoarthritis, particularly in my hands, and had to give up work in September 2012 because of it. I went on one of the Challenging Pain courses run by Arthritis Care in August and although it didn't make any difference to my pain, it made a lot of difference to how I felt about it and gave me a lot of strategies for coping. So, I would recommend finding out about a course in your area. Hope this helps.
All the best, Shula0 -
Hi Arietie, Welcome to Arthritis Care Forum, You have come to the right place for support with Arthritis. We all feel down when we are 1st diagnoised with any dibilitating condition. I was fired from my job when I was finding it hard to do my job and having more and more time off sick. I was a P.A for a company. And doing that job you need to be able to run about and be on your toes!
We are all here for you, as we are all in the same boat, we discuss serious stuff and support each other and we also have alittle fun as well. Welcome again to Arthritis Care Forum Arietie.0
