Good luck to you and keep safe. I'm supposed to be venturing out to the hospital for meth collection but that all depends on whether I can a) get to the car and b) move her off the drive! DD

Had a look at the met office forecast for the area I am in. Snow looks likely with winds and blizzards for friday.....definately not looking forward to standing waiting for a bus to work in that at stupid oclock.

Yesterday's snow has turned to ice and the temperature isn't due to get above freezing for the next 5 days at least. I can stay in but take care all who can't.
If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

Yes, take care everyone who is brave enough to venture out. Bitterly cold here, but no snow (we had a very little on Monday) but forecast seems to predict we are likely to get deluged on Friday. Hey, ho, what fun - if you are young! Ok looking at it from warm lounge, but not so good for those who have to go out and cope with commuting to work etc.

Those of you who have to go out, do take extra care. It's hard enough in normal weather, let alone this bitterly cold spell we all seem to be getting. Keep warm all of you. Beryl

I don't mind snow you can drive on it so long as it's not to deep, here the biggest problem here are drivers who have no idea what their up to, handy tips are, never drive in the tram lines as you get better grip on fresh snow rather than compressed snow, keep a seriously big gap between cars so you can anticipate any lag or lead and use always a higher gear rather than a lower one and if you are coming up to a hill or rise keep the speed up as much as you can before you start to climb, it's no good accelerating once you’re on the incline.

My Met office App on my phone has come up as a Red warning (The Top warning!!) for Snow! It says it will snow this evening and right through to Sunday! Heavy snow. And when I watched Midlands today it seems to be agreeing with it!! So everyone keep a watch and when it arrives as they predict it will, be careful, only go out if you really have to. Stay safe and stay warm!!

Snowed quite a bit on Tuesday. Some melted but the rest froze and is now very slippy. Hasn't got above freezing for the last few days. We are on amber alert for at least 5 cms of snow tomorrow afternoon. Glad I am finishing work at lunchtime. Take care everyone.

What can I say!! It started snowing here late afternoon yesterday and hasn't stopped since!! It is snowing very heavy now and we have drifting snow to boot!! It must be coming on for 20cm now!! And the weather forcasters are saying it's going to snow into tomorrow now as well!! There are different views on wether it is going to be snowing on Sunday & Monday but it doesn't matter because it can't get any worse now!! It's -2oc outside but feels colder as I popped my head out of the front door (before the snow covered the bottom of my porch door!!) to warn her about driving her car in this weather as I doubt she will make it back into the close! My OH has gone into work, his business partner picked him up in his 4x4, I keep texting him with updates!! Hope everyone else is coping with this awful weather! The kids in my close seem to be enjoying it!!

Hi all. We've only had light snow showers (so far) though had been predicted more but it is absolutely freezing. Have only been as far as the Bird Table to make sure they've got enough to eat, and to de-ice the bird bath etc. Am not intending to go out anywhere. Keep warm everyone. Beryl

I have got lots of snow it has been snowing since 8am this morning,I had to pick the kids up at lunch and silly me took them sledging as I didn't want them to miss out but I think I am paying the price now but I suppose it was worth it to see them happy ,thankfully it's the weekend now as I can stay in the warm and their sisters can take them tomorrow for me instead.

Thought we were on amber alert but it was only yellow alert. Started snowing at midday and hasn't stopped. There's about 4 inches in my garden at the moment. I'm supposed to go to visit my dad tomorrow but will need to see how things are in the morning. Poor Wales seems to be getting the bulk of it. Hope everyone stays safe.

Well, we didn't get snow until yesterday and it has settled now. So, unless it is really important, I shall not be venturing out. I only had a fall the other day and really dont want another one.

Hope everyone is coping with this awful weather. Nice to look at when in doors, but not good to try and walk on.
