Pain down right side of sternum

Anyone had this? Have RA and fibro and for a while I've had pain where my ribs meet my sternum but over the past few days its got a lot worse. It wakes me in the night and when I try and move the pain takes my breath away and I struggle to move at all. I've got one section where it has hurt on both sides of my sternum for a while but I now have a painful area at the base of the right side of my sternum which is where the worst pain is and has developed over the last few days.
Is this RA related or something else? I've also been very tired and keep nodding off in the day (not great with a rampaging 2 year old - today he broke a lamp).
Does anyone have any suggestions?

    I have RA, and I often get pain in my sternum, and yes, it does take my breath away sometimes. I don't however have a two year old to take care of as well! That must be very hard work!

    I don't get this, jenzie, though I'm sure others on here have mentioned it besides Numpty. Worth a visit to the doc?
    If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.
