    Hi there Newbygran

I am so so sorry you are having such a rough day, but I really personally don't think magnets will help. I think if they did people wouldn't need all these tablets and surgery :(

What medication are you on/can you take? It's horrible when you are having a bad day and you just want to get to sleep in the hope tomorrow will be better. Only to struggle to get comfy :(

On those days I take my pain killers and anti-inflams and try a hot bath/shower before bed. I used to use my tens machine, but I killed the last one  Have you tried a wheatbag/those heat patches?

    Love

I've never heard of magnets, though have of copper. They say copper is good to keep away arthritis. To be honest I think it is probably old folks tales. But .. on saying that, everyone is different. Maybe you should try and let us know if you feel it helps. Let us know.

I'm sorry but I agree with Toni. These things only 'work' on people who don't have much wrong with them. I can't remember which meds you're on, newbygran  but it might be time to ask your doc to up them or change them.

Been there, tried them, got nowhere. They can be of benefit but how much is true benefit and how much is the placebo effect of thinking you're doiing something to help is debatable. I've tried magnetic knee supports, a magnetic bangle and necklaces and still I creak. They are not advisable for those who have pacemakers. DD
