....and I'm still waiting for my appeal to be sorted.
Has anyone else come to the end of their ESA? I was last paid yesterday. Will I get another payment or will that be it? I can't find anything on my letters to say when the last payment will be. I need to budget for whatever I will be getting until my first State Pension payment on 17th March.
I will ring them Monday anyway to find out what is happening about my appeal.
I have my latest MRI results to send them. I have my appointment through with the Neurologist, but that is not until 6th March, so a bit late unless they leave my appeal until the Summer! You never know, anything is possible with that lot.

Well if your contribution based has ended you are still entitled to income based ESA....I think though you may get the white envleope containing the ESA50 to fill in as well but don;t quote me...Are you saying you are appealing at the moment?

Hey you are so lucky Pollysid I have to wait till i'm 63 for my state pension that's another 3 years for me, I do get a works pension though not enough for me.

I would not worry if I were you , you will just carry on as you are till they tell you otherwise, and even if they send out an ESA50 they give you @ 4 weeks to return it and then by the time they have processed it you will be able to say bye bye because you will be a pensioner!

Ho and by the way do you know that you have to actually claim your pension, if you don't they will just assume that you do not want it yet, in fact it is not too early to do it now, you just need to ring the pension service and they will ask you lots of questions to make sure you are you.

I've already claimed my pension Lulu, and was quite pleased with the amount they quoted me. I have worked all my life (until 18 months ago)so got a few perks on my state pension package.
I will be 61 and 6 months. Isn't it annoying when you get to mid 50's then they move the goalposts?
Elaine, hubby works over 30 hours so I cannot get income based, although he does not earn a high wage so we get a little bit of Working Tax Credit and have a form for free dentist, medical travel expenses etc.

I think I will be nearer 69 when they let me retire!!

It IS awful that they are moving the goal posts. I expect they will have to change the age at which you get your bus-pass next

Good luck Polly I am sure all will be ok, but it IS so wrong leaving you with all this anxiety. In your shoes I woudl egt on to CAB for advice.

    Love

    Toni xx
