She was in hospital from Thursday until Sunday lunchtime. She’d had a water infection and her platelets were low. So she’s had a blood transfusion and her platelets upped which has all made her feel much better.

However, the whole rigmarole begins again this week.

Oncologist on Wednesday
Bloods on Thursday and, hopefully,
Chemo on Friday

Good luck, May. I shall be thinking of you.
If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

Thank you all. I really didn't feel ill but any infection and they blame the platelets. Then it was discovered my blood count was down so blood transfusion. I know I should be careful about infections but how on earth are you supposed to stay clear of water infections.....not something you actually pick up in the street are they.
I don't know who's blood I've been given but my guess is someone who is exremely athletic as I now feel great. Long may it last.Well until this week-end anyway. xx

May I'm sorry you had to spend sometime in hospital and needed a blood transfusion. Sounds like you had an Olympic athletes blood!! I will camp in your pocket ready for the busy week!!! Hope you feel OK by the weekend after Chemo.
