Hi
I had my first gym appointment since my TKR 14 weeks ago...I got my blood pressure taken, was good, measurements and have actually lost a few pounds/inches here and there so all seemed good...My BMI is still 33 so they want it at 30, if we can get there who knows...
Did upper body exercises then tried recumbent exercise bike - MISTAKE! I can only get my knee round 3/4's and it hurt like hell, the fitness instructor looked really concerned, I said should've brought me painkillers! Tried upright bike too but cant do them :-(....However did try something couldnt do before, hard to explain...You sit right back with your feet up and you push out with one and push back on the other machine...I also managed 10mins on cross trainer, that was fine...
I guess it just shows even though I look "healed" on the outside im not quite there yet....
Good day though got a new car today and no brown envelope YET!

Elaine sounds like you are doing well
I found with the exercise bike if I raised the seat to its maximum, as long as i still had feet on pedals that is, and I had to raise the cheek off the seat to get the leg around the full rotation.
It did take time but got there in the end. Even rode a bike outside0 -

Maybe could try that it really hurt and think it also hurt my hip bursitis as I was having to sort of kink my hip out to get leg turned to do one or two very painful cycles....
