Dear Forum
My Rheumatologist is suggesting I try Abatacept (infusion) to help with my RA. I have tried many anti-tnf treatment like Enbrel & Humira and the usual NSAIDS but my body is becoming clever at finding new ways to get around all these drugs! I'm currently on Tocizillimab (infusion) and it has been helpful with the pain to some degree but am suffering side effects (severe rash) and am on a very reduced dose because of this and that is not ideal. I would really welcome any comments you may have on Abatacept.
Keep warm and keep the home fires burning!

I know people have written about this on here so someone(s) must be taking it. Of course, it might be that it's working so well they no longer post  I hope one of them will look in and see this.If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

I've heard of it but not tried it - it may be worth doing a search on this forum using that name then all the threads concerning it will pop up and you might find some help therein. I wish you well and I hope it helps - let us know, yes? DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0

Hi
I was on Abatacept before my current one being the Toclilizumab. Unfortunately, it had no effect what so ever, but you know that it could work for you. I had no side effects with it unlike the Toc, which has been stopped for now as it too has given me nasty side effects. The Toc is very good at lowering the imflammation but the side effects for me outweigh the benefits.
I hope that the Abatacept does work for you. Good luck
