My scan showed the cancer is shrinking and my bloods are lowering. This however doesn't mean I don't have to have more chemo. At least I know its doing some good. I felt you all in my pocket....you mustn't wriggle so much. Now computer is playing up again so I'll try and post this and hope for the best. Really cold and heavy sleet....well slushy here.
Take care everybody. May xx

Oh May, my eyes are leaking a little with happy tears. I am so very, very pleased by this news and I hope you will be able to physically carry on with the chemo, what courage you have, my lovely. DD

I'm not leaking but I'm a very happy bunny. You've worked so hard, and so stoically for this, May, and you do deserve to see such improvement.

Now, if my calculations are correct, it's more bloods tomorrow then, if that goes well, you get rewarded with another lot of chemo on Friday

Onwards and upwards, May. You're getting there :D

Please don't cry. It really wasn't my intention.I just thought I'd post because to be honest this computer nearly went out of the window earlier.
Yes SW bloods tomorrow...chemo Friday. Today its all been good. Ok oncologist was running late but such good news was worth waiting for.
Now more fun to look forward to but I'm not complaining as now I know there is a light at the end of the tunnel no matter how long it is.
I can gleefully cope with not doing the washing up and any other niggle will in future just be that..a niggle. I was dubious about this chemo as its a new one on me but if its doing its job all is well.
So bloods should be ok tomorrow after getting the platelets and transfusion but I won't know for certain until tomorrow teatime.
Anyone fancy bringing some soup on Friday....not chicken please as thats for invalids and anyway I don't like it.
Take care and stay warm love May xx

    That is brilliant news May.
I'll be in your pocket on Friday, and I promise not to wriggle.
I've just made some leek and potato soup, but I don't think that would be suitable to bring. It has a rather unfortunate effect on me  It would clear your pocket pretty quickly

    Hi May
I am so happy to see your good news. i have friends going round the same type of chemo /bloods/scans merry-go-round and know how encoursging they find the scan results when it shows shrinking!! More chemo is not nice, but again it is good news as it can mean more shrinking at the next scan.
Thinking of you, and I can only send spicy veg soup. Any good?

Wow All this soup sounds lovely. Bloods are 00.05% down on what they should be but I'm going tomorrow and having another blood test before the chemo just to make sure they haven't dropped more. I notice plenty of veggies in the soups...I am normally offered soup but its normally chicken or tomato neither of which I'm very keen on.I never thought I'd be so keen to get on with this chemo. So ok...I will get the skin peeling again but its doing what it should and getting rid of the nasty bits.I have no plans for the week-end but to rest and anyway snow is forcast.
Been hobbling about today knees/hip/back giving me trouble. Chemo should help that. So early start everyone...rush hour traffic and have to be there for 8.30.
Rest up tonight...got plenty of pockets don't spill the soup.

I'll be up and ready, May. As for the chemo getting rid of the nasty bits - of course it is. Those are the bits that keep peeling off
