Neurology Appointment

The spinal specialist I saw last month talked me through my MRI scans and then said he was still concerned over my walking problems. He wanted me to see a Neurology specialist.
Great, they still don't know why I can't walk properly.
I was researching the Neurology department at the Hospital I go to hoping to find out about the specialist who's clinic I will be going to.
I wish I hadn't now as what I was suspecting seems to be the same as them. Out of the 7 specialist Neurology clinics at the hospital, his is the MS one

I don't know whether or not that is significant for you, PollySid but, even if it is (big assumption) better the devil you know. I hope the appointment comes soon so that you can get it over with.If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

When I saw the pain consultant, he came straight out and said my walking problems were MS and not from my spine. Few scans later and he was wrong Sometimes, they just have to rule other causes before they plan treatment.
I know it is worrying, but they are looking after you.0 -
Pollysid the neurologist I see is a specialist in MS but my problems are a very rare peripheral neuropathy condition, it doesn't mean to say that because you are seeing s/he that is going to be the problem, the nervous system is so complex and sometimes can take years for a condition to totally manifest and be diagnosed, I was only properly diagnosed after seven years, try not to worry(easy to say) hopefully you will get your app soon, keep us posted how you go...................Marie xxSmile a while and while you smile
smile another smile and soon there
will be miles and miles of smiles
just because you smiled I wish your
day is full of Smiles0
