Oh dear, kathe, I’m so sorry. This is not what you wanted to hear.

I hope the removal of the fluid on your knee plus the cortisone injection both help. In the UK we are told to rest the knee as much as possible after such an injection so, please, although you have the crutches, try not to walk. It enables the cortisone to stay in the knee where it is most needed.

I’ve not had any meds by infusion but I know some people do. I hope one of them will come along soon and tell you of their experiences.

I understand your wanting to go to work in order to take your mind off things. I admire your attitude and I do hope it helps but please, please be careful not to overdo things. (())

    Oh Kathe

I am so so sorry that the enbrel isn't working - sounds like you knew it anyway, but it was hard to hear someone else say so :(

There are people on here who go for regular infusions. They go to a day ward in a hospital and the medication is given to them there so they can be monitored.

rituximab, tocilizumab and I can't remember any others...sorry, but I am sure they will give you more information. What I can promise Is that I personally know of at least 3 people who feel so so so much better on one of these. Fingers crossed you will be one too.

There was a chap on here firemanphil (I think??) who swore by one of them - you could do a 'search' on here for his thread.

HUGE ((())) for you kathe you are a strong woman and this coudl be exactly teh right drug for you

    love

    Hi kathe
That sounds like a lot to go through, I hope things improve soon.
I don't have any experience of the things you ask about but wish you well.
Best joke I ever read, "With that information and a diagnosis of spondylosis, your doctor can develop a treatment plan‏" or back in reality totally ignore you. Is ok I have a sense of humour and a boxing glove, not defeated yet.

That's why so many of us see you as strong, Kathe. Strong people don't deny their pain. They acknowledge it and cry and then move on, just as you are hoping to do. I very much hope tomorrow will be a better day for you.

Getting me main of this, and four me it is a quality of life to go to work. My doctor think agree whit me that I don't get better of staying home , but she olso say that I'm real sick. .. If I had let hear she had give sickdays, but I don't wont that.

Yeasterday was not a great day and tomorrrow I'm going to know what infusion I'm gona get.. I really hope that this is something whit les side effect and that it helps me. So tired from it all, enbrel, cimzia, and so that youst bringing me down and not helping at all..

This life is not easy. You can crie and fall apart but after a while you have to put your self to gedder and move on. but it is fare from easy..

Oh I'm pleased you've got a better day thanks, no doubt, to the steroids. The rest will help too though I can see you're itching to get back to the rig :) I guess that will help emotionally but I do hope it doesn't cause more physical problems.

You are doing a great job of putting yourself together and moving on. I, too, hope that the infusion, whatever it is, will be the best thing possible for you. You deserve it. (())
