I can't see it doing any harm, if you can afford it, as, from what I can make out, you just lie there and relax while the practitioner passes his hands over you. The cheaper version is where you just lie and relax at home on the bed  but then I'm just a tight-fisted old cynic.
If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

Never tried it Freesia, I have briefly looked at a book about it and didn't appeal to me, but, everyone's different, hope you enjoy if you go ahead.........Marie xx

    Hiya,

I have not had reiki myself but I have had a crystal healing.

What happened in my session, I laid on a bed, like a beauticians bed and crystals (I had previously picked out) were placed over certain points on my body and the lady used a pendulum (a crystal on a chain) to move energies through my body. It took about 20 minutes, and throughout I was given the option to speak or remain quite, me being chatty I chatted with the lady doing the treatment.

I felt deeply relaxed and stress free after my session and I would recommend that anyone give it a go really - I tried to speak and not let my imagination 'run away with me' and give me a placebo effect and I still felt a calming and relaxing benefit - which did ease my pain as I felt my body relaxing and not being tense and stiff.

These treatments can be really expensive so get a couple of quotes. I have recently bought myself some meditation cd's at home off ebay which I find very useful, these have cost about £5 each. I find stress is a major cause of my flare ups and mediating seems to help me, and a recent great discovery for me is Tai Chi.

    Best wishes,

    Charleeh
