Now this is really strange, I have been suffering from shoulder pain off and on for a few weeks now. Its mostly when I am lying down in bed, I've tried switching pillows to see if that helps but has'nt done much.

Is your pain all the time? If so its possible that its a trapped nerve?

I am certainly going to mention it to my consultant when I see him in April.

That sounds like pretty normal arthritis in the shoulder to me. I'd be taking pain relief when it was bad. What pain meds are you on? As you seem to be getting pain in various places right now, maybe another visit to the doc?

You can buy little seats that sit in the bath so it's much easier to get out. Any decent disability shop will have them.
If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

Hi, I can't put weight on my arm to get out of the bath so have a grab handle on the wall which OT recommended. They will install too. Helps enormously.

Blimey must be something in the water I've also had v bad shoulders the past month or so!
From what u describe sounds like the joint surface is inflamed, when you push down to get out this action compresses the ball of the arm into the cup of the shoulder, if the surfaces are inflamed this will cause pain as they're pinched together.
I haven't any helpful advice really sorry, as said a grab rail would be good as this means you're not compressing the joint together to get out, I ask hubby to hoist me out!
