Our lovely pink flamingo is celebrating her half century today I know she has a magnificent 'high rise' cake, baked and beautifully decorated by her very talented daughter.
Have a lovely day, Julie - but let the others do the work;)

Love and gentle hugs
Elna xThe happiest people don't have the best of everything. They just make the best of everything.
If you can lay down at night knowing in your heart that you made someone's day just a little bit better, you know you had a good day.0 -

Thank you once again to you all for your birthday wishes
I have had a busy birthday week which really started last Sunday when we had a birthday tea with Lisa and Charlie (daughter and Son-in-law) and they presented me with a big beautifully made and iced birthday cake. The theme was knitting and sewing, with cotton reels, pin cushion, thimble, knitting needles ,2 balls of wool, and buttons all made from fondant icing (knittin needles black straws with paper made tips with the umbers 5 and 0) They also bought me a lovely leather over the body bag
I have a little note book laptop from Rich which is fab and much lighter than my laptop.
I have had lots of other lovely gifts too. I have been very lucky.
On Tuesday I had 2 sets of visitors most of the day
Wednesday spent day with my lovely husband around york
thursday mum came to help with some house work
and Today.....I have 2 friends coming for lunch......but I have cheated and bought the sandwiches and cakes ready made from S*****rys.
(I will however present them on a big plate and cut them into quarters and not just give them a box )
I am a little whacked now
Maria.....hey I don't look any older than last week ...Phew
Frogmorton .....thankyou for your comment I have missed every one and think about you all often.
Thanks again to you all
I hope to come back a little more often soon and I am sorry for not been here
