Waterloo Road - Gender Issues

I watch the series Waterloo Road and think the way they are tackling the current storyline with the girl who has gender issues and is from quite a rough n ready family is very interesting....Just wondered if anyone else watched it and have any thoughts..

Its quite some school mind you!
