May's chemo carousel

With luck :roll: she’ll be having it again a week tomorrow but her fingers are still peeling and ‘quite raw’ from the last lot plus she now has a rash over her lower torso and the onco nurse says if it gets worse she’s to go in. If all goes well, next week will consist of onco Wednesday, bloods Thursday and chemo Friday.

Her broken wrist is on the mend although she hasn't much feeling in the thumb. Her husband, meanwhile is shadowing her every move to ensure she doesn’t fall again.

Lots of love to her, it really does sound like it never rains but it pours. My friend got a similar skin issue with chemo and it makes a trial all the harder, add in a broken wrist too and all I can say is what an inspiration May is to still be trooping on however she may manage it.

May is now feeling that the rash could be shingles. She's hoping to see her GP tomorrow or Tuesday about it but, if it is, the chances of her having the chemo this week are very low.

May is due to see her oncologist today to see if she can have the chemo on Friday. I do hope so but I guess it all depends on the latest state of her rash.
