Well I woke up this morning after having quite a good sleep feeling much more positive today and felt quite good,I even baked a chocolate tart for later yummy
,well then I go to my opticians appointment at 12.45 which is a half hr bus ride to the town,I get there they booked me in then sent me with a lady to take some further details and she asked if I was still on Income support which I explained I was now on ESA,well then she asked if I had proof so I told her I hadn't and no-one told me at reception yesterday to bring proof of income so she said well we can't offer you an eye test today unless you bring proof of income today.I told her I have to collect the kids from skool later and have travelled all this far so I asked for my hospital letter back and that I would go elsewhere. So she goes off again to see what can be done and offered me my eye test but if I need new glasses I won't be able to order them until I bring my letter in to say I'm on ESA .so now I am home and now after picking the kids up from school I will wait for my daughter to get home from her childcare placement and still have to go back as I now need new glasses which includes reading ones too, well what a day I am having at least I am keeping occupied and I have that lovely Chocolate Tart to think about later in front of the TV relaxing this evening(hopefully anyway).

That is crazy! What a to do! Some places are really useless! At least you got your eye test and the pescription. Did you go back to the same Optician to get the glasses? I know I would have got the pescription and gone else where for glasses if they treated me that way.0

I asked for my letter bk from the hospital but she went and got me my appointment in the end but next time I'm due again i'm gonna go elsewhere I think as they just seem to mess me around lately.0

I had the opticions yesterday as well. And I knew I needed new glasses. I use the bifocals. But he informed me that because I use the computer a far bit I would need to get two pairs. Before they got carried away I explained I could not afford two pairs of bifocals. I had to take my eldest back there later yesterday and had a word with him again. I am going to try varifocals. At least that way it's only one pair. (having tryed varifocal when I first had to wear glasses full time and didn't agree with me)Karen xx0

Hmmm it's quite funny actually but I have just received and email from my opticians asking me to do a survey of how what 'Good' service they offered me I am quite keen on filling in this survey somehow.0
