The happiest people don't have the best of everything. They just make the best of everything.

If you can lay down at night knowing in your heart that you made someone's day just a little bit better, you know you had a good day.

I've filled it in but I'm not over-impressed with the quality of the questionnaire eg:

one question asks if you have 'a designated management plan'. I had to put 'no' as I've been on the same dose of meds for some time. Is that a 'designated management plan'? The next question asked about the 'designated management plan' that I'd said I didn't have

Another question asked if I saw an orthopaedic surgeon re my RA. I said 'no' because it's the resultant OA and prostheses that I see him for. I expected more opportunity to mention this but wasn't given it.

There were few opportunities for 'neutral' answers, which always skews the results of a questionnaire.

I got the distinct impression I wasn't supposed to have had RA for so long :? yet I know others who have had it as long as I have. If they'd only wanted respondents diagnosed within the last 20 years they should have said so.

All in all - I won't read too much into the final results.
If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

    Hi Sticky :D

Quite honestly I have never seen a decent form/survey/questionnaire to complete about anything. I sometimes wonder who designs them. Hey ho.

I did not answer the survey as I do not have RA so have not seen how it has been designed.

Just thought I would pass it on to the forum incase anyone was interested.

Thanks for doing your best anyway. :)

I hope you let them know that you were not over impressed with the quality of the survey and why.

There was no option to let them know. If there had been I would have done.

I'm married to someone who taught statistics so I keep getting lectures on good/bad questionnaires :)

It's such a poor questionnaire that you can go back on and do it again if you like :o There's nothing to stop anyone doing it 100 times or to stop anyone without RA from filling it in. So that's how valuable the information gathered will be.

I started to complete the questionnaire although I do not have RA. I got a far as about question 3 when they ask if I had high bp, high cholesterol, RA and a few other things. I clicked on bp and cholesterol and then was thanked for taking part in the survey.

It would not let me participate again, telling me I had already completed the survey.

So as far as I could see you only got one go at the survey which makes sense.

It can be global -1 for me as I do not ever do facebook and I don't expect I ever will. I would expect Arthritis Care to put their survey on thier own website or am I just being dumb - no need to answer that one.

Hi. If you go to AC's homepage on this website, there is a link to the survey.

It threw you off because you were honest about not having RA, Elna. If you'd ticked RA, it would have let you carry on.

As for second (and third etc) goes at it - it registers the computer not the person. I was able to fill it in again on my husband's laptop. Once I'd established this I quit the survey.

Oops, I just realised Elna had put the link to AC. I only noticed the AC via FB part

It wouldn't let me repeat the survey either. I thought it was quite a good survey compared to some I've seen.

    AC via FB

Message from AbbVie about the success so far of the RA Join the fight campaign.

'As we have now reached the half-way point in the global RA patient survey I am delighted to let you know that, as of this morning, the UK has achieved 509 survey completes (beyond our original ‘quota’ of 400).

Worldwide, we now have 5,897 but the UK’s 509 puts us almost at the top of the leader board! Thank you so much for your support in getting response to the survey but please do continue to encourage your members to take part as there’s still time to increase the numbers. Remember, the survey is live until 11 April.

So thank you everyone who has so far filled in the survey, and if you missed it first time round here is the link again
    http://rajointhefight.com/take-survey/"

If you suffer with RA please complete the survey and do your good deed for the day.
